What are your favorite loads for the 300 H&H. I have a custom on a Ruger #1 action that's favoring 67gr of R22 and 180gr BTSP. 66 grains of IMR4831 and the same bullet is showing promise also. I really thought I'd find a good load using IMR4350 but so far no luck.

The 4350s work well in my 300 with 150 & 165s as does RL19. RL22 is promising with 180s. RL26 is outstanding from 165 thru 200... better results with 180 & 200s. RL23 is showing promise with 150s & maybe 165s, but I dont have enough left to do more testing. Pressured out too soon with 180s.
Have you chronographed your 67gr RL22 load? My testing started at 68gr. at about '06 speeds from a 24" barrel.
The Speer #15 manual has new data with newer powders for the H&H with 150gr+ bullets.

If you're interested in data for newer powders give 300 WSM info a look.

RL 25 with 168 Barnes is a great combo IF you have the correct barrel length.
Hint, at least 26".

Had some good results. 180 Hornady SP with H4350, H4831 or R23 180 TTSX with R23, R26 or Hunter 200 NP or Accubond with R26 or Magnum

In my No.1 65.5g of IMR 4831 and a 180g Interlock SP lit by a CCI 200 LRP is consistently giving me this at 100yds. After duplicating it for the 4th range trip in a row, I stopped here.

I must have gotten a bad batch of CCI 250 primers as most of them misfired. Switched to Federal 215's and no problems. I have never tried regular large rifle primers but will give them a try. KY221 you just can't argue with those results.

You mentioned misfires, I just got this one back from Ruger because it was misfiring. Headspace checked out ok, but they said it was suffering from light primer strikes. They replaced the breech block, hammer strut and spring, and the firing pin/spring. I have the parts list, I'm trying to remember off the top of my head. It's been fine since then. If the misfires continue; it might be worth checking out

My rifle is a custom on the #1 action so I doubt Ruger would look at it. My smith replaced the spring for the firing pin and the headspace checked out fine. I've put 50-60 rounds through it testing loads with the Federal 215 primers and haven't has any issues.

Still working loads in my 30 Super - 180 partitions and 200 partitions are what I have chosen. RE 22, H1000, H4831sc, RE 26 are powders of choice. I’m getting away from RE 22 in my hunting loads though some are very accurate. My 300 Win Mag likes H1000 and RE 22, I have not tried RE 26 in it
My 300 Weatherby with 200 grain Partitions and RE 26 could be my all time favorite of the bunch.

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

I've never seen a need to go beyond H4831 or H4350 in the .300 H&H with bullet weights of 150 - 180 grains. Also found CCI-250 and Fed.215MM completely interchangeable with this cartridge; virtually same velocity, point of impact, etc. Based on results using one rifle only, a pre-'64 Model 70.

If the misfires continue; it might be worth checking out I've had mis-fire issues with every new Ruger Hawkeye I've purchased for quite a few years now. I always strip the bolt, clean it thoroughly and replace the firing pin spring with a Wolf 24# spring as standard procedure. Even with the bolt cleaning and heavier spring, the recently offered African 9.3x62 still gave misfires making me suspicious I may have a headspace issue. Switching from CCI to Federal primers made the issue go a way, so moving forward, I guess I need to use Federal primers for the first firing of virgin brass before going to CCI's. I've never had an issue with No. 1's mis-firing from light primer strikes...

I had good primer strikes as well. Since changing to the Federal 215M primer I've put 50+ rounds through the rifle with no issues. My smith sold me 500 of them for $30. What a guy!!

70gr good old H-4831 under any 200 grain or 220 grain bullet, it's Gold, i've learned once you reach a certain level [2700-2900 fps] it doesn't matter provided accuracy is there.

Thats's great advice. I'd go one step further and say that my 30-06 load runs 2600fps with the excellent 200gr partition, so if one were so inclined to down load their H&H to 30-06 levels and it was accurate, it would still be a killing sob. I bought a 300H&H die set a year ago, still looking for the right rifle to come along. Eventually it will happen and keep my WBY, WSM, WM and 308 Norma magnum great company. It will likely be a pre 64 model 70. Always love winning "whose faster" bets against guys with 22" 30 cal magnums with my ancient 721 300 H&H. Who gives a chit about how fast its running and who t f uses a 22" 300 magnum? Shaking head here.. Accuracy is key dude. When you are using a good bullet, like the one I mention above, you can drop way down on velocity and it still hits like a sledge hammer. BTDT...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

To the OP: Mine is a 1/10 and likes several bullets, but I settled on a 200 grain Speer and RL22. I do not recall the charge off the top of my head. H4831 was good too with the same bullet. It does well on elk sized critters.

When I got my 300 H&H, I worked with H4831sc and Hunter powders. Bullets tested were 200gr Partition, 180gr TTSX, GMX, and 165gr GMX.
I sent lots of bullets downrange and burned a bunch a powder testing loads and getting ready for Africa back in 2015-2016.
The load I settled on was: 180grTTSX 64.5gr Hunter with WLRM primer 2906fps
I could not get the partitions to shoot. The 180gr TTSX's bested the GMXs by a little bit. The 165gr GMX's shot fantastic, I just wanted a little more bullet weight..
