Had a cuz get killed driving drunk.
Somebody else fugged up and smoked him.
Was still impaired, but doubt it factored.

Another cousin got killed by a drunk driver

Have been hit twice by drunk drivers, one the cop knew and didnt do anything about it

Have been hit by non drunks. And almost killed by dumb kids and soccermoms.
Cellphones and speeding.

I do avoid travel on party nights and the drunk corridors.
Try to take 4 lane highways as much as possible.

2 ways are splatterville

I worked as a LEO for a bit over 30 years. The highest Breathalyzer reading I ever saw was 380 mgs % -- almost 5 times the legal limit. He got jail time for that. It wasn't his first rodeo.

Personally, my last drink of beverage alcohol was May 1, 1982. Don't miss it a bit.

If you rearrange the letters, you have a pick-up line for a singles' bar.

#1: 1.480% BAC – Unnamed Polish Man (Poland)

We certainly see a trend here with the Polish, but, surprisingly, Poland isn’t even in the top 10 heaviest drinking countries. In fact, none of these countries are represented in any of these cases.

After a car accident that caused severe injuries, a Polish man’s BAC was measured at 1.480%. This is probably the highest BAC ever recorded in known history. Doctors said he survived his brush with death due to drinking, but he later died due to the injuries associated with the crash.

Not me, but the kid got one and you should see all the advanced gyrations for paper work that he has to go through just to cross the border to go fishing in Canada. I've been hit by two drunk drivers out on the road and I have no use for people who drink and drive. The wife had a five million dollar balloon insurance policy because her first husband drank and drove and it finally took out his liver and killed him, but luckily no one from a driving drunk car crash.

Here if you refuse the breathalyzer you lose your licence and what they don't tell you is then they are taking you to the hospital to do a blood draw. You are screwed either way. The neighbor had that happen and she wanted me to pick up her kid from school because the police were watching for her to drive without a licence. I've read that a first offence DWI will run you $10,000. by the time its over with increased insurance premiums and fines.

If you blow and are drunk then you're sunk, if you don't blow you haven't proven their case for them

The police are NOT your friends. COMPREHENDO ?

NEVER talk to them w/o an attorney present. COMPREHENDO ?

They don't get promoted for helping innocent people. COMPREHENDO ?

Do not provide them evidence to hand your azz. COMPREHENDO ?

How are they going to draw blood if you don't co-operate

Restraints. The fine print somewhere says that they have the right to do that if they suspect a person is intoxicated. A blood test is more accurate than a breathalyzer. The neighbor woman had that happen and thought she would be smart and refuse the blow in the tube test.

They can get a warrant to require a blood draw but a good attorney will drag that out until you'll pass and/or question the accuracy of the test for dozens of reasons.

Most DAs facing that will plead it down to some non-event.

Simple solution ? DON'T FING DRINK AND DRIVE.

Here they can’t do that unless you cause an accident/injury.

If you spit a bit wad of Copenhagen down the tube on the breathalyzer they’ll try to tell you you have to buy a new one. Don’t believe them.

Ditto.
Despite some nonsense being posted, an attorney isn't 'dragging out' a warrant for bloods. When needed, I'll generally have one signed and in hand in less than 40 minutes (less now, thanks to The Covids and our Judges finally doing more via email).
