I've never really liked the recoil of a .308 Win.
I first shot one in an AR platform when I was a kid, and got my first (and only) scope scar.
A little older I had one in a Win 88, which was known for having an uncomfortable stock. .Agreed.
I'll bet this 5 lb. rifle would ring my bell, and maybe earn me another scope scar. Still, I wish I had the money to buy it!

Quick check on the recoil calculator, with a full house .308 180gr load @ 2,600fps, recoil in a 5 lb rifle would be north of recoil for a 15lb 338 LM... Snappy...

Thanks, you just saved me from making a possible expensive purchase that I would most likely end up regretting.

Nice looking rifle. These are over $3700 new and recoil is not bad on my 7-08 and 30-06 Nula’s. I had a 300 win Nula that was a bit much but I actually shot good groups with it. I would not worry about recoil and hope one of you guys pick this up. It would make a great hunting rifle.

Had a 308 Forbes. Recoil was not bad at all. Got a wild hair and it became a 284 Win. Recoil is still not bad.

I don’t find the recoil from a 308 objectionable in the nula, fieldcraft, or Montana - but I’m not routinely shooting 180s out of them either.
That’s a good price if it doesn’t escalate too much.

Had to resist. It would of just collected dust in the safe next to other rifles I don’t use.
