My usual habit on weekend days off is to wake, make coffee and plop down in the recliner and watch some shows that the DVR caught for me over the previous week. Since we dumped the dish, I've been having my coffee on the back porch, weather permitting. This morning is beautiful. 80 degrees, sunny and breezy. Shockingly few blackflies or skeeters. So far I've seen deer, a red squirrel (1st I've seen in months) a rabbit and about 10 different kinds of birds, including a pair of bluebirds and some chickadees that are nesting in the birdhouse. Beats the heck out of television. 🙂

Nice! Man, I sure wish I had that pile of rocks! Could put them to good use here.

Nice! Man, I sure wish I had that pile of rocks! Could put them to good use here. My 40 is lousy with rocks. Rocks are the reason I tongue-in-cheek call my place The Busted Shovel. My mower blades and brush hog blades are all beat to heck. Pick the surface clean and the frost pushes up a new crop every spring. 😀
