This recent novel by Grisham continues his quality story-telling.
If you like basketball this book is a treat. It is the tale of a Sudanese young man who was chosen to play on a team coming to the U.S. for a tournament. It was an opportunity to be seen by coaches and scouts and maybe be given an opportunity to go to school in the U.S. and play ball at some college. Samuel Sooleymon--"Sooley"-- is offered a scholarship and gets his chance. Meanwhile the civil war in Sudan is tragedy for his family. Sooley makes his way in the school and the game and this novel is the result.
It's a fine read.
