So after passing on the .38-55 I came across this .32-40 with half round smokeless steel barrel and bought it instead. This will be my first 1893 but not my last. I plan to add a Lyman tang sight and take a deer or two with it. I will still keep my eye open for a ,38-55 though.

Very nice!!! You’ll have to let us know how she shoots and what load you end up using! That’s one I don’t have in the 1893 and am still looking for the “right” one.
