I know with lobster, I can definitely tell if it's been frozen because it changes the texture of it. I much prefer fresh lobster. I bought a big bag of Texas jumbo gulf shrimp yesterday, only to learn they still needed cleaned. I hate cleaning shrimp! It's too tedious for my clumsy hands and aging eyes!

Whenever I'm working on the gulf coast, I'll buy a bunch of fresh oysters and haul them back with me. Sometimes some redfish too. I love grilled oysters!! Although, even around where I live, I can find them for under 69 cents each.
