The Sako P94S was generally a highly sought after rimfire rifle, but now it seems the that has slowed down a bit. Is it because of all the new rimfires that have come out? I ask because I noticed some on GB with no one bidding on.

I really like my FinnFire Range. I've had a few other FinnFire's and all are solid performers.
I think the main difference is that the Vudoo's and other newer options are built for most popular matches like NRL22, while the Sako's are more of a classic rimfire.
I got a good friend of mine hooked on shooting rimfires and as soon as he saw my Quad Range...he had to have one. I showed him my FinnFire Range first since I had thoughts of selling it and he had no interest in it...the Quad had more of a new feel...
To me, the FinnFire's are as classic as it gets...

I agree with you Rolltide. I love those classic rimfires. The accuracy of the P94's is what many rimfire companies are trying to achieve. I suppose the down side is they look like a Classic rifle instead of the modern chassis style that is all the rage.

I prefer the classics. Sako makes great rimfires; I was always more interested in Kimbers or I'd have one.

Got a Sako P94 with a Lilja barrel bull barrel, Jewell trigger, McMillian stock, and Leupold 6.5x20 EFR scope and its a tackdriver, you can watch bullets going through the same hole at 50 yards

K22: About 5 years ago I bought myself a minty Sako P94S heavy barrel Rifle in 22 L.R. I love it! Every thing about it is excellent plus. I posted a review of this P94S Varmint on this site back in 2,016 - interesting thread it turned into - look it up. It is next in the "rotation" when the crops get cut this week and next for a return to the Ground Squirrel Safaris. Since buying it and becoming so enthralled with it and its performance/looks/fit/feel/function I have NOT seen another one for sale - anywhere. And I get around! Maybe they are just not available/being manufactured? Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

K22: Against my better judgement I went to gunbreaker and viewed their offerings in regards to the Sako P94-S model - they had 5 (five) listed and nary a bid on any of those? I do know I paid WAY less for my P94-S than the minimum bids of all of those listed. Of course a lot has changed in the nearly 5 years since I bought mine. Anyone know if they are in current production by Sako? Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

The P94S finnfire is no longer in production. Sako has replaced it with the finnfire 2 and quad.

I bought my P94S Finnfire Sporter new in 1999/2000 and it had a Burris 6x32 A/O Hunter Benchrest scope on it for years . It is my favorite rimfire sporter. When I pull it from the safe I cannot help but smile , beautiful European walnut stock, great fit and finish and very nice trigger I have a Kimber K22 Hunter , a Tikka T1X and several CZ 452's and the Sako is still the king of the hill when it comes to 50 yard accuracy . The magazines are a bit pricey but you only live once. If I could find one at decent price I'd buy another . The Finnfire II is not the same gun . Over the years I have not seen many P94S rifles new or used for sale .

At the price I'm seeing Kimber K22's and Sako Quad and the P94 selling for recently I was surprised the P94S sporter had zero bids on with the starting price below $1000.

I had one years ago when they first came out, one hell of an accurate sporter, with match ammo and a Leupold 6.5-20 EFR there was nothing at a local sporter match that could touch it. I have a T1X now thats very close to it tho.

Could’ve bought a sporter with a lilja barrel at a gun show last year for $1,000. Kicking myself for not snagging it.
