Heard on the radio this morning that our wonderful governor has come up with a bribe for getting folks to take the covid shot(s). Louisiana has the lowest percentage of residents that has taken the shots, so the gov. has come up with a plan. He's going to give away 2.3 million taxpayers dollars, but you have to take the shot to enter.

Prizes are: Fourteen Louisiana residents 18-and-up will win a $100,000 cash prize.

Nine Louisiana residents ages 12-17 will win $100,000 scholarships.

And one Louisiana resident 18-and-older will win $1 million.

Damn

You’ll have bums with fake ID cards or made up names getting that shot more than specified.

Those will be the Phase 3 Clinical Trial subjects.

Heard on the radio today that NM is giving a chance to win 5 mil.

But you need to get the shot now to get entered in the drawing and you have to be a resident of NM.

The black population hasn’t been coming forward for their vaccinations. The government (s) have reached out to their Churches to help and give the vaccinations at those locations.

The lottery just might work in getting them to come forward. About all you see wearing masks around the Baton Rouge area is black people.

NY State is offering all kinds of free chit, too. I seem to remember our governor saying that it takes years to develop an effective vaccine and have it proven safe, and that the Trump administration has recklessly rammed through an unproven, experimental, possibly dangerous vaccine. Then we had a presidential election, and a new administration and now the vaccine is the savior of the human race and completely safe and we should all rush out and get it and collect our free stuff for doing so. Funny how that works.

Consider that they are probably hoping that they end up paying out
$1/vaccination. Maybe less. And that most who take them up get...not-a-damn-thing.

18 year old daughter saw the pediatrician (till how old) Thursday.
They pushed hard for her to take the shot.
She didnt.

LSU board has asked for the Louisiana state government to make vaccinations mandatory and with proof before registering for the fall semester and for every following semester.
