Forecast 3-5” rain here.

Could use it. Garden is drying out.

No storms just rain.

Gettin' a few waterspouts / tornadoes over this way. Looking at somewhere between 6-10 inches of rain this morning. Gonna go check on things here in a bit. We still have Sally repairs ongoing...

Not a cloud in the sky this morning and chance of rain is zero. The front hit too far to the east. We're not hurting for rain, but a good soaking shower wouldn't hurt a thing.

I heard the strangest thing. Someone told me that in parts of the country water falls from the sky. I'm not sure I believe it though. We sure haven't seen anything weird like that around here in the last couple of years.

Oh, the buzzin' of the bees and the cigarette trees
The soda water fountain
Where the lemonade springs and the bluebird sings
In that Big Rock Candy Mountain

South winds blow them back northward. Northerly winds bring them out of the marsh right down to the coast, winter being the exception most times.

That's the 1 good thing that comes from a drought. All the puddle dry up and they can't breed. Skeeters must be at an all time low here this year. We have no-see-ums but no skeeters.

I ventured over to P'cola for another backup generator right after I posted this morning. it was pretty damn rough. I got my genny though. Joe Patti's was open too, with almost knee deep water at the front door.

Moved on out here.

Moved pretty quickly.

Don’t believe we got the 3-5” rain they were forecasting.

A buddy in Sarasota dropped me a note and said they were okay and mostly missed it.

I'm in Fort Walton Beach. It wasn't too bad here, a bit of torrential rain for a while but the wind wasn't too bad, maybe 30 mph. The gulf is still rocking and rolling now though, I wouldn't want to be out in my boat right now.
