Rog, if you don’t mind me asking, how did your dad meet your mom all those years ago?

my dad's stepfather owned a cotton gin in Amherst Tx, my mom's family were migrant farmworkers working the cotton fields so that's how they met, they were married in Sudan Tx.

Lol, in those days that would have been bad juju up here. Hell my grandmother was shunned by a bunch of her friends for taking one of the migrant ladies who was deathly I'll into the house to get her better.

She said that was ok because she made a friend for life by doing it.

I know you heard me last night but in case you forgot please pass on my best for me. In old school TX gentlemanly style your pops always was friendly, gracious, thoughtful, kind and engaging-- and even though he was addressing his son's Yankee guest always addressed me as 'sir'. Classy cat, he is. Holler for anything, hermano.

Thanks, brother, He asked about you the other day.

I hope he's doing better Roger , I surely enjoyed talking with your Dad last time we met and Teri sends hugs and well wishes!!! Prayers for a full recovery too...

My dad is doing much better, out of the ICU and in a nice rehabilitation hospital, my brothers friend runs, small facility really nice. He needs to get his strength back so he can walk on his own. Mentally he's back to normal.
