No.

When I worked for the Forest Service back in the 70's and 80's we used some powerful military grade dope that I think was almost 100% deet.

Our aluminum hard hats were painted orange, that schit would take the paint right off.

A lot of us switched from government issued Deet, to Avon Skin So-Soft, didn't work as well, but didn't melt everything it came in contact with either.

Also, when you get tired of ruining stuff with Deet, get you some Sawyer Picaridin.

Doesn't stink. Won't ruin plastics, or rod and reel, and gun finishes...

Works better than deet for me.

Supposedly this works very well at keeping the mosquitos and ticks away.

Wagner's Anti-Tick-Goo
2 Cups White Vinegar
1 Cup Avon Skin-So-Soft Bath Oil
1 Cup Of Water
1 Tablespoon of Eucalyptus Oil
Put in a spray bottle, shake, then apply.

All I remember is that bottle of GI bug juice that stated on the bottle " Do not apply to gas masks lenses" or something like that.

Maybe some headlight polish. I've used Mothers Aluminum wheel cleaner on cloudy lenses too.

I agree 100%, I've been using Picaridin for many years. It works better than Deet and is less toxic. If you want something stronger Sawyer's has 20% Picaridin spray.

You can polish the haze off. In the future spray your arm before you put your watch on or use Picaridin spray.

On a project during mosquito season in SE Oregon we about melted the rubber off the steering wheels of the trucks, binoculars, ATV grips! Everything looked like it had the funk!

I spray it on purpose to cut the shine. Only wear it for hunting though.

You're here in Columbia and having to wear deet all year?

I'm kinda scratching my head Brother.

Amen, homerun call right there. Buddy of mine up in Maryland turned-me-on-to picaridin while on a Sika hunt on Assateague Island and it sold me ... the stuff is liquid gold against blood suckers and noseeums.

One Casio that I had was a favorite.
I lost it and regret that. Looking for a replacement.
When or if found, I decided to make a face cover.
The bad thing about it is how easy it scratches, or probably more like, how hard I was on it.
I don't know of any replacement crystals for the brand. I would be surprised if you can find one.
I would try a buffing compound like they use for headlight lenses and polish. I don't know if it will improve or not, but the only other option I can think of is to buy a new one and quit using DEET. You know that it's bad for you. I'd not use it against my skin.

I agree. I'd try a fine polish, like fine buffing compound, but FWIW I use DEET a lot, in the highest concentration. I take my watch and specs off and put them well out of reach of overspray before I put the stuff on, and wipe my hands dry before I handle either watch or specs, avoiding touching lenses. I have had no issues with watch glass or spectacles being damaged, over the many years I've been doing this..
