Age here is 64 and I don't see any kind of front sight well anymore. All my hunting/field hand guns now have either scopes or red dots. All the carry guns now have laser sights on them. I remember the Sig 365 being noticeably more accurate the my 3rd gen Glock 26.... I'll report back after load testing but I'd be surprised if it didn't keep 10 inside 2" at 20 yards.....

10-4 2ndwind, in both my Wifes P365's:

90gr Lehigh Defender
7.5gr power pistol
CCI-550 primer
Case mouths made sure to be .379" for reliable feeding with Lee factory [taper] crimp die
COL 1.125 inch
Vel. 1250 fps

A heck of a little defense load that exited 4 metal coffee cans with their plastic lids, plus 4 layers of denim shot lengthways full of water, and plenty accurate too.

222Sako:

My bad. That should have read AA7 not Re7. Thanks for catching that error.

I ended up loading about half of the cases with Win231 and the rest with Universal. Now to see how it all works.

I shoot 115gr. FMJ exclusively in my 9mm's, load them with Unique though it takes a charge more than the starting charge to cycle most semi-autos. I loaded the most recent group with HS-6 because I was able to purchase some at a very advantageous price.

Checking in your own barrel is better. Really it's the only thing that counts; it doesn't matter if it fits some other gauge or not.

Apparently that is very true. I did my first batch of powder coat cast for .45 ACP... the Wilson case gauge said fine.... the first time I racked the slide on my Dan Wesson 1911 the round stuck not fully chambered... we are talking trip to the gun smith this weekend level stuck

Never bothered loading 9s before. That was then, this is now. Git everything I need except empty brass, which will magically appear as I empty out my factory stuff, and maybe my Starline backorder gets filled. Bullets seem to be available, as long as you’re not too particular.

I picked some estate XTPs last fall before the crunch, as well as a packet of H-FMJs..
digging through a a few different sources including the 2011 handgunners manual thoughtfully provided by another member has revealed some enlightening nuggets, such as "if your machine doesn't get good accuracy with XTPs it provably won't like anything.

but in looking for load data I noticed that for a given projectile weight (say 115gn) the HP load is generally higher than the LRN or FMJ load.

any thoughts as to why?
do HPs compress a bit limiting peak pressure as compared to more solid designs?
