About six days ago after a day fishing and crabbing in Ketchikan. Cleaned them, soaked them in iced freshwater for the better part of a day then cooked and chowed.

Barley seems to be a good finishing grain. I’ve fed it to hogs with good result.

Yes Greg, 4 hours in the smoker, normally finish in the oven, but we have been waiting 8 weeks, for warranty repairs !

Meat was good, but the crackling never really finished hard, medium hard/soft & still chewy, mostly.

10 minutes under the broiler would have been a game changer.
