Booked my flights to Namibia for a Cape buffalo hunt in Early September with Kowas Safaris in the Mahango Camp.

Flying via Frankfurt.

Sadly it is only a hunting trip, Covid requirements killed the touring plans.

Taking my 32 yo stepson along on his first ever hunting trip. He’s really jazzed about it. If Karl has any leftover own use elephant quota left, might shoot one.

I've hunted with both Karl up in the Caprivi for "Own Use" Elephant, and down at Kowas with Dani and Ansie. You'll both have great hunts!

GRF. Good luck!

I strongly suggest trying to get a flight from Windhoek to the Caprivi. A 12 hour road trip after flying a day and a half around the world is way more fun than a man with a surgically repaired low back should have to endure.

AB; there are no flights at present since Air Namibia went tits up. There is a company who has applied to take over some of the air Namibia routes but they are waiting on government approval, being Africa who knows when that will happen.

The plan remains if flights to Rundu are available in time that I will take it.

That’s why I’m flying to Joberg, on to Kasane Botswana. PH picks me up there and we drive acros the border to the Caprivi- 4 hour drive to camp.

GRF;
Top of the morning my friend, I hope you and your fine family are well and keeping cool enough.

That's certainly something to look forward too. Very cool! cool

I shall look for photos and a hunt report when you get back - if you're so inclined.

All the best to you all.

Dwayne
