https://www.nifc.gov/fire-information/nfn Scroll down to see the whole report Perhaps this will help more... a inciweb report from all large fires, and all the large wildfires in Colo listed. The Oil Spring wildfire 20 miles south of Rangley is growing FAST... 6/24/21 11,933 acres. *** If all 6 fires in Colo are not showing just single click on Colorado in the listing, they will appear. NW Colorado is going to be bad again this year

We hunted South Central Colorado last year and the amount of fuel via beetle kill was scary where we hunted. They are overdue IMO.

They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

There is a fire right now that prompts concern west of Kremmling and east of Yampa in Colorado. Will be another ugly season , am afraid. Nothing but scorched earth in some of those hunting lands.

August and September is usually when the [bleep] hits the fan. If the West doesn't get rain, The fire season 2021 could be epic.

I have traveled through CO quite a bit over the past decade. The area between Creede and Salida has more dead trees to serve as tinder than anywhere else I have seen. In some places I'd estimate 95 percent of the spruce trees are dead. When that area catches fire, it's going to be spectacular.

Hopefully the monsoon will kick in early and we won't have a repeat of last year. Last year we broke the record for the biggest wildfire in state history. And then broke it again, twice.

While "inciweb" , is great information , keep in mind that it's 24 to 36 hours old. The information coming from the fire team, is prepared the previous, afternoon and then sent to the National Interagency Fire Coordination Center in Boise Idaho. The Forest Service uses the same data but breaks it down to provide detailed info. The "Daily Situation Report" which comes from the Regional Coordination Centers, to the National Interagency Coordination center, is also available and gives a broader summery of the situation nationwide and less narrative.

Inciweb seems to be more up to date than NIFC. Right now there's a fire about 50 miles from me. Last night Inciweb was reporting it at 700 acres while NIFC still had it at about 350. Right now Inciweb won't click to give any info.
