It seems like not answering the phone is the new business model these days. Have you tried email?

An old gunsmith friend used ER Shaw barrels almost exclusively, I had them install a rifled shotgun barrel on my slug gun it was very accurate and accounted for many whitetails.

I haven’t tried to contact them lately, but, like everything else they’re probably way behind and trying to catch up. My experience with the barrels themselves have been pretty good. I have a 24” stainless, sporter contour, chambered in .308 Win. on my Savage Axis action and it is a shooter!! As far as affordable barrels go, Shaw or McGowen is going to be hard to beat imo.

I sent them a barreled action the last week of March for a barrel job.Their web page at that time had 18-20 weeks wait time.I checked today and they are showing 20 + weeks,so I guess they are running behind. When I sent one to Pac-Nor a few years ago the wait time was 8 weeks.I read a post recently someone said their wait time is now 20 + weeks.

This from their website says a lot:

"Please note that if your order is still within the current timeframes listed for each product in our shop, the barreled action installation page, or the rifle builder pages, this request will not be fulfilled. We give a range of times for a reason. If the timeframe for your order has been exceeded, then we will contact you with an explanation and a new estimated completion date."

Translated that means when they screw up, it's on you to run them down and find out why. A company that is good at customer service will have a due by date attached to each order and contact you when they are past due with an explanation and a new estimated completion date.

Thats the kind of luck I usually have.

And if I can get hold of anyone there by phone or email to cancel it I will.

So hopefully it will arrive before they answer their phone.

I emailed them and told them I was canceling and would not pay any fees due to their failure to stay in the time frame. I also told them not to refund my money since I was going to handle it with my credit card company.

They immediately refunded and canceled. Refunded to the wrong card and then wouldn't fix it.

Tired of stupid and schit service.

I had a few friends use their barrels. They delivered on time but from what I have seen performance is on par with a good factory barrel.
