Seems like it would be pretty simple. Especially if you can TIG weld stainless. It would be a perfect sized grill. Probably a bunch of images on-line.

This one is 55gal drum from a defunct company that repackaged Merthiolate. Built it in the early 80's. I made a gas conversion that can be removed and replaced with the original charcoal plate. The machine shop at work built a couple of half barrel grills (no lids) much the same as yours for the annual company picnics. They've been using them for 18 years now.

This is last years Thanksgiving turkey. I did a spatchcocked and brined turkey last year. Best danged turkey everyone at the table had ever had and it looked cool too. Plus it took about 1.5 hours to cook.
