Seems like it would be pretty simple. Especially if you can TIG weld stainless. It would be a perfect sized grill. Probably a bunch of images on-line.

Many years ago we had a grill made out of a 50# refrigeration bottle cut length wiser. It made a nice portable grill. It was much like the ones shown here, just not as fancy.

This one is 55gal drum from a defunct company that repackaged Merthiolate.
Built it in the early 80's.
I made a gas conversion that can be removed and replaced with the original charcoal plate.
This is last years Thanksgiving turkey.

The machine shop at work built a couple of half barrel grills (no lids) much the same as yours for the annual company picnics. They've been using them for 18 years now.

I did a spatchcocked and brined turkey last year. Best danged turkey everyone at the table had ever had and it looked cool too. Plus it took about 1.5 hours to cook.
