I like the behind the trigger crossbolt safeties common on semi autos & pump shotguns. Were any over under shotguns made with crossbolt safeties?

FYI: After no initial responses here, I also posted this in the “Ask the gun writers” forum & got several responses. But none exactly what I was looking for.

So it would seem that there are none out there or at least one that is in extremely limited supply. Darne did make a sxs cross bolt safety but it was halfway up the side of the receiver. I'm sure that there is some gunsmith that would convert a single non-selective trigger to a behind the trigger safety. They only holdback is the depth of your pockets.
It would seem that the easiest selective barrel O/U candidate would be the Ithaca/SKB 500 shotgun with the selector in the trigger Guard.

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.
When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.
PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

The tang safety on O/Us is more secure. You'll appreciate it for field work if you take the time to get used to it. The problem then becomes getting pumps and autos with tang safeties.

The Mossberg does have a tang. So does the BPS, a much nicer gun IMO.

Yes and Mossberg sells 12ga autos with tang safeties.
And Savage made a pump deer rifle with tang safety.Tang safety auto deer rifles have been made by HK and Sauer.Tang safety auto squirrel rifles were imported by Weatherby and at least one other I can't recall.
Can't think of a tang safety pump 22lr, but point is the selection gets limited and may not fit. That's a problem with shotguns because of fitting issues and expense. I have a complete using set of tang safety hunting guns, except the auto shotguns are Beretta. (Tried and wore out a Mossberg.)
If you want a real challenge, try putting together a using battery of Grand style safety guns. It's barely doable.
