My cat loves hunting vids w geese or deer.
I get off work, take a shower and shes on the couch by the TV waiting for me to turn on Youtube

Will move up and paw screen

If i put a music vid or car stuff on, she just sits there and gives me the look.

Some rescue cat the fam drug home from shelter. Hangs out w me instead of them.

Yes we do. She rarely misses any animal on the screen! Barks and generally raises hell.....but, totally ignores cartoon or animated animals ! memtb

Tripper Lab did- animal shows. Honey HalfLab did at first then lost interest. Chako Wunderwiener does sometimes. Dogs barking or whining gets their attention.

A neighbor has a low deck right outside full length windows. They have had moose laying on the deck, watching TV with them.

My Dog is not that smart.

My female watched Live PD every week before it was canceled. It was funny to see her lay back on the couch in position to watch when it came on, especially since she is a Belgian Malinois.

I can only wish. Had dogs all my life, and none ever showed more than a passing interest in tv.
Just as well, the mindless, liberal garbage on tv lately would insult their intelligence.

My Bull Dog does, but not my half Pitbull. The Bull Dog actually seems to see the TV exactly as we humans do, while my half Pitbull doesn't seem to see anything on the screen. Must look to her like just a bunch of moving meaningless images. My Bull Dog sits on the chair in front of the TV and watches intently. If someone is depicted sneaking up on someone in a menacing way, he becomes quite alert and keeps his eyes right on that person. If he sees horses or dogs, he will often run to the TV to see if he can intercept them as they come off the screen, but he always seems perplexed that they vanish into thin air once they pass the screen edge.

Anything with cows, dogs, and horses was okay with our Jay. Rawhide was his favorite show.

Lily quietly watched TV, but acted like she didn't.

Barney? That dog used to use the remote to turn on Lassie. His favorite show was Emergency Room Vet, and one day we caught him switching over to PAX to watch Miracle Pets. He had times and channels all in his head, and learned to use the remote by brute force trial and error.

Beyond that, Barney liked to watch hunting shows with me. He thought they were real. If the deer ran off the screen to the right, he'd go bark out the window. If they ran off to the left, he'd run out of the bedroom and try to catch them in the back yard.

Baseball flummoxed him. He thought the guy with the bat was trying to hurt him.

As he got older, he acquired a taste for film noir. He'd watch old detective movies with me and be totally absorbed. When bad stuff happened to the hero, he barked. When the detective kissed the heroine, he whined. The femme fatale always got a growl as did the rest of the heavies.

Daisy, the chocolate bitch, never misses a chance to sing along with any real life siren.......I've never had a dog that acknowledged anything on tv.
