Got tore up in the yard today picking figs. Have an old stump near one of the fig trees that a bunch of yellow jackets poured out of. At least 2 holes maybe more.

Waiting till dark to pour water mixed with dish detergent and a little Sevin in the holes.

No prisoners. It works really well when they are in for the night.

Violence is the only answer. I would use fire.

Sounds like a good plan. I might have already drilled holes in it and poured the potassium nitrate type stump remover in the holes. Then it would be time to light it up at night. Wouldn't drill it now though. They can still crawl up onto you and sting at night. Sevin sounds wickedly efficient. Be Well, RZ.

Ever consider pouring ammonia down the hole at night, run a long hose to the hole, put funnel on opposite hose end, pour in bleach. Be up wind.

Wondering how that would work on in fire ant mounds.

I had to spray a nest under my front porch eaves Sunday afternoon: I looked up when mowing close and there were about two dozen of those little fuggers flicking their wings like they do right before they launch an air assault. I hit 'em with some Demon I keep mixed in a sprayer for just such an occasion.

Or, just for fun, send some bottle rockets down the pipe first. (Before the gas)

ppur gas in the hole and place bucket over the top so the fumes stay put.

The detergent mixed in the water drowns the schit out of them. It acts like a surfactant on their exoskeleton and soaks right in. I put sevin in too for good measure. No need for gas contamination.

Diesel fuel - works great.

I had a nest in an old railroad tie retaining wall one time. Sprayed a whole gan of wasp spray into it with no good results. They were still crawling in and out the next morning.
So I went down to the local feed store and got some fly spray concentrate that we used to use on the dairy. Surface spray that has a two week residual. Soaked the hole and around the opening and never saw another bug.

I discovered a nest while weed eating the other day. By the time I got to the other side of the house I had bent my glasses and was down to my underware and socks!!

I’ve found a strong Permetherin solution poured down the hole works as well.

There’s a video that I’ve seen somewhere about a guy who poured some gas down a hole for a mole IIRC. It lifted an area about 10’ x 10’. Be sure to video it if you use any volatile substances. 😁

Get some 1% Tempo dust. One squirt in the hole and in a few hours all of them are dead.

Don't have to light it. One cup of gas will have enough fumes to wipe them out.

Last time I got stung I put 2 pounds of tannerite on the hole at night.Big boom!

Dawn will kill the hell out of them,but gas and fire is more satisfying…
