Got a pond covered bad with Alligator weed....what will kill it? Pond is 5 acres and 8 feet deep about 1/3 of it, and remainder about 4 feet to 3 feet around edge. Have had this problem for years and don't know how to rid of it. Need some help.

Glyphosate kills the hell out of it.

If you have fish, then spray half the pond, wait until it's starting to die, then spray the other half. Just use an 80/20 surfactant, no oily surfactant, or diesel.

I rid one of my ponds of it, and lost no fish.

I use 4 0z per gallon of Glyphosate and label says surfactant already added. What is 80/20 surfactant? Spray entire pond at one time and never had fish kill? How many oz per gallon you using? Have a moss problem also...comes to the surface as it gets hot and sinks in cooler weather. Should I be using 10-10-10 fertlizer to control moss? Pond dye has not helped and have put many gallons in over the years. Put 25 grass carp in few years ago....wasted money. I have bought many gallons of Glyphosate over the years and at $40 per jug getting expensive. Spray about 30-36 gallons each time at 4 oz, per gallon .

Pun in a couple of tripled grass carp ,they can eat it and they don't reproduce so your pond will not be overrun with non-native fish
