Can someone recommend a good fishing charter for us? Tricky part is we are going to be staying in Seldovia and the ferry doesn't leave there to Homer ealry enough. Just wondering if the boat would stop and pick us up on the way out. Lookind at August 23rd for 3 of us and possibly the 25th for 2 of us thanks. And wtf? No Halibut fishing on Wednesday.

There are a couple of charters based out of Seldovia - you might want to give them a ring and see if they have any availability. Most of the better guys are fully booked at this point - and have been for a while.

The guys in Seldovia won't call me back.

It’s 18 nm harbor to harbor. I suspect that if you can find somebody in Homer who isn’t booked for that day they would be willing to do it for you; but you will most likely have to buy the whole boat.

There are a few, just not very active.

You shoudn't have any problems booking what you want for 2022.

Rather than finding a "pick of the litter", your best bet this late is maybe to call a bunch of charters to see if they have any openings for the day you want/number of people going. Leave your cell# so they can contact you if there are cancellations.

Roll the dice.... You may have to split your party.

BT/DT both there and in Hawaii. I always got a boat ride (catching fish in Hawaii is just icing.... and it's a good thing I think of it as a boat ride, cuz I never have caught a fish there )

Try calling the Seldovia charters different times of the day, when they might still be in port, etc. They likely have web sites also thru which you can contact them. Busy, busy time of year for them, but they might be all booked up already.

Leaving my number and getting called up due to a cancellation is exactly how we ended up going on the boat "Legend" with Saltwater Safaris in Seward in a real short notice, ended up with a honker Ling on the trip

If saltdouche saps was the only charter option I would suggest folks go without. Their salmon shark
conviction should be all the information one would need...

Got 2 days booked, and the captain will pick us up in Seldovia. Looking forward to the trip.
