Nikon Prostaff EFR 3-9x40. Great scopes if you can find one.

I like the Hawke Airmax 4-12 on my springers.
I don't know of an American made AO scope that will hold up to springer recoil...

Not sure about current models, but I have an airgun-rated Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12 that was on an Air King for at least 1000 shots. Last ones I saw were about $200.

I've had very good results with a Hammers 3-9x32AO scope. It is rated for spring piston air guns. They also have the same scope with a 40mm objective since that is what to are looking for.

They are sold on Amazon and come in under $100.00. They also come with a nice one piece mount.

I'm thinking of using a Vortex Golden Eagle

I'm using a Hawke 2x7 on my Hatsam 135 .30 break barrel, and it seems to be holding up real well. I like it.

I stick with Leupold or Bushnell Elites on my spring guns. I've never had one break on magnums like the RWS 48's and 350's.

The Hawke Airmax is pretty good for about $200. I have one in 3-9x40 and like it.
