I got to satisfy my Marlin addiction this past week with 2 JM Marlins. The 1894 in 44 magnum has been on my list for some time, but the model 39 Carbine was a completely new model that I only discovered when I saw the one that I just purchased at the gun show on Sunday afternoon. That 39 Carbine is the sweetest handling Marlin that I've ever held. It's mine now but someday it will probably be a gift to one of my sons or grandsons.

I love my 39 carbine, my wife bought it sight unseen for 50 bucks! Add said it was a broken lever action 22. I made a new magazine tube and it works great. Very accurate and great handling gun.

The 39 Carbine was my grail rifle as a boy that had hunting dreams in the 60's. I didn't get one until about 10 years ago. Then I came across 3 in the span of about a year and a half. I bought them all and gave each of my three sons one for Christmas the year that I bought the last one. That rifle, to me, is the peak of Marlin's 22 production. It just doesn't get any better.

Nice "covey" of Marlins you got there. I didn't know a M-39 carbine was offered by Marlin.

A had a 1894 .44 mag with "Pistol Grip" offered by Marlin in the early 2000's, I sold the rifle without firing it. I just couldn't find inexpensive lead bullets sized 2 thousands over groove diameter. I think I really screwed up.

I'm having the same issue finding inexpensive .360 180 gr bullets for my Marlin 1894 .357 "Stainless".

Nice pair jertex!!!!!!!

Have a 39M (carbine) 22LR I bought new in 1970 for the outlandish price of $92.00. Still have it, shoots as good as it did new. Top shape, alot of people ask me sometimes if I bought a new rifle. Has had thousands of rounds through it. Bought a 1894 44 Mag Cowboy around five years ago (JM), like new from a collector who was thinning his herd. A great shooter with my reloads, both JHP's and cast. Also have the 44 Mag's little brother a 94 CB in 357 (JM) and a JM 1957 issue 39A. Both great shooters also. The wonderful JM Marlins--Hope Ruger puts out a similar product.

I have the same pair. My dad gave me the 39M for high school graduation 30+ years ago and I found the late 80's 1894 44 Mag a couple years ago. Fabulous set!
