Watching The Big Lebowski on Prime. Watched it again last night. It’s never not good! 🤠 Yup watched it with the wife the other night. Somehow she said she's never seen it. I said impossible as you were with me at the movies. She just stared at me as her hand touched her G19. Tense couple moments it was for the Dude. Laffin 🦫

The Manchurian Candidate on Netflix.
The 2004 remake with Denzel Washington of the 1962 classic. The plot was modified to a 2004 environment, but respective of its theme.
The symetry between the plot of this movie made 17 years ago and our current situation is undeniable. Both situations characterized by unworthy usurpers to the Whie House and Oval Office. i saw that film originally when i was a kid. i understand for many years it was "off the market" as far as being seen. i see the connection to our present situation too.

Black summer on netflix. Another zombie series and I don't really like constant flashbacks... but it was well worth the watch and season 2, that was a couple years after season 1 was really good. I like the way they filmed the scenes in long takes, not flipping every couple seconds.
Edit... Season 2 was made a couple years after, the show is in a summer, then the winter.

BTW, none of these tyrannies ended willingly, spontaneously or through elections .

In the past month of so, I've been wearing out Amazon prime. There are a bunch of "B" movies on there that appeal to my entertainment value - the general tough guy action movie with actors I haven't heard of or usually play minor roles in larger films. Mostly they follow a formula - retired hitman/badass LEO tries to live a quiet life but his sister/daughter/random child/ex partner/kitten is killed by crime figure and he has to go clean house I'm not exaggerating when I say there are probably 70 movies on Amazon prime like this - you select one and then it suggests like 20 others just like it.
