I am going to start fishing the Susquehanna river for the big flatheads. They want live bait fish and good sized ones at that. Anyone have a portable live bait cooler aerated that will keep a decent number of baitfish alive. I see a bunch on the web some cheap some not recommendations much appreciated.

I do the same. Keep extra freezer packs in a separate cooler.

Does Engel build a bait cooler in a size big enough for your uses?

We use em for minnows and in the summer we can keep several dozen for 2-3 days.

Yes that would be good as far as size goes. I was curious as to how well the aerators hold up. I looked at one at the local cabelas.I believe it was a Frabill struck me as a little cheap. I would rather pony up for a well made unit than deal with poorly made crap. I have not looked at the Engels but the Pics look like they might do the job. Does the Aerator have a 12 volt plug in.

The one we have does. Runs on the batteries or the 12v plug in.
