Have two. Not that impressed to be honest. I’d rather have a decent machete and a small ax. One of them does it all but not real great at any of it.
A Kaiser blade works good for thicker brush and briars IMO.

Always wanted to try one, but could never part with the money. I have a pattern drawn up for something similar I'm going to pound out here whenever I get to it. Wide, thick blade, broad at the tip but not squared off. Stacked leather handle with a D-guard.

I’ve had one for a long time. I actually prefer my el cheapo Cold Steel Kukri Machete.

If I’m cutting brush as a task, it’s a long handled one,
This one. Had it for at least 20 years. Yeah the shop’s a mess, work is insane right now.

Isn’t that also called a sling blade?

Either way, you need a clearing saw!

You should try one of these, no personal experience but read good stuff about them. Swedish brush axe. Husqvarna and bahco both make one.

Best thing Eva........

The cold steel 2 hand machete.

Polymer handle. Discontinued now.

I’ve cut some trees down with it.
