ok i checked out the Berger bullet site just now ,here`s the scoop the 25 caliber bullet is > 135 gr with G1 .650 / G7 .334 looks very nice and is made for 1,000 yard competition looks very nice and i need a big box of 500 or 1000 full of 25 caliber 135 gr. Berger bullets soon ! thanks again Paul !

I called Berger Bullets today the new 25 caliber 135 gr. bullet will not be available tell June 1st this year 2021. dang it ! but i do have the 131 GR. Black Jack bullets and the 128 gr. Hammer bullets shooting well now that i have custom Whidden dies made for my 257 Creedmoor cartridge/ Savage rifle. i do feel the 25 caliber 135 gr. Berger bullets are going to be real slippery flying thru the air and accurate too.

sorry guys i have some back problems i just cant seem to get rid of in my lower back ,so on January 28th i had a double back fusion on 4 & 5 levels with steel plates and screws with a nasty 9 hour surgery, surgeon had some problems with my old beat up body otherwise this should have been 4 hrs.. but i am back home now but sore as [bleep] and for now i have a 5 lb. weight restriction with no BLT = means no bending-no lifting-no twisting. anyway have a great weekend and this should be a great super bowl too this weekend ? i like both teams but i gotta go with the old dude GO BRADY ! i also have a new custom hard plastic back brace that i have been told to wear 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for the next 6 months.

thank you much Paul. and hopefully when i am healed up much better the new 135 gr. Berger 25 calibers will be available and just maybe some fine rifle company will start manufactruring a 25 caliber Creedmoor or my spin on it > 257 Creedmoor with a 8 twist barrel .

I've been a quarterbore fan for a long time, and this endeavor has interested me. I was considering doing a .257 DGR out of my m600.

thank you, i feel the 25 caliber cartridge has been very overlooked and now with these better long range bullets and a 8 twist barrels things are going to get real interesting.

this back surgery recovery really has nock me down for a while so i got a lot of time to think of my next long range rifle i may built in a 25 caliber. here is my thought : 25 Weatherby mag yes i have 3 custom in this cartridge already but i wanna get just a little more out of this fine old cartridge,so i will be looking for a used Weatherby Accumark Mark 5 and if i do this i will put a Brux barrel 28 inch 7 1/2 twist . this will be a while because i still am in the middle of reloading for my 257 Creedmoor and hoping some rifle manufacture builds this rifle /cartridge combo yet with a 7 1/2 - 8 twist barrel.

Hey Pete...interesting, thinking of doing the same. I`ve got a 7 Wby barrel on a 700 with the throat gone..thinking of sticking with the Wby cartridge and going .257 with a fast twist.

back surgeon said 7 more weeks with the big hard plastic back brace then a smaller soft brace and i can start loading and shooting my 257 Creedmoor !

Bullet Central .com just informed me that my 500 pack of Berger 25 caliber 135 gr. target bullets have been shipped ! so very soon will post how well these 135 gr.25 caliber bullets shoot out of my 257 Creedmoor after the the 4th of July . have a great July 4th !!!

started shooting today off a cement bench and it was sunny ,warm and still, i used the new Berger 135 gr . target bullets ,was 20/1000 off rifling for these 3 groups out of my 257 Creedmoor, no chronograph was used my back too stiff for now after that nasty 4th back surgery this winter . 1 st. group used junk brass to make sure rifle barrel was dirty > 1st group was1 inch group , i have not shot this rifle for a while since November. 2 nd. group used good brass that has been neck turned and weighed group was 7/16 inch 5 - group 100 yards used RL. 26 . then i remembered i needed the forearm bench rest plate needed to be put back on also checked my reloading book notes and RL.17 was the better powder for this Savage action /257 Creedmoor rifle 3rd. group was 5/16 four were in same hole last bullet off just a little might have been me ? i could tell when the rifle went off the RL.17 powder seemed kinda smoother too seems like when a person has shot alot you notice these little things ? also with my Redding powder bench rest volume loading that the RL.17 is just a little smoother than the RL26 too. > more to come these new Berger 135 gr. target bullets seem real consistent , wonder maybe i may need to buy some of the new Berger 25 caliber 133 gr hunting bullets too. thanks , but i purchased some Hammer 128 copper bullets already they shoot great out of my 257 Creedmoor so when the 257 Weatherby mag with the 7 1/2 twist is finished i plan on using these Hammer bullets out west if these bullets shoot well ?

almost forgot this > the Whidden custom dies do work very well for this 257 Creedmoor too.

Curious why you call it the 257 Creedmoor? Everybody else is calling it the 25 Creedmoor.

so there is no mix up on bullet diameter / size its .257 bullet , i feel it needs to be this way for safety and besides i can call it a 257 Creedmoor its still a wildcat cartridge. i also just ordered 300 more .257 / 128 gr Hammer bullets for hunting, Hammer has all .257/25 caliber bullets in stock right now ., i do plan on using these 128 gr. Hammer bullets for elk and deer if my new Brux barrel shows up in time for my new rebarrel work 257 Weatherby mag. 7 1/2 twist too ??
i have not been shoot`n rifles much right now because its been 90`s very hot and the smoke from Canadian fires has been nasty too here in Minnesota .

Ok, I was just curious. I know its still technically a wildcat, but nobody else is calling it a 257 Creedmoor. There are several manufacturers making brass now and its stamped 25 Creedmoor, it seems like calling it a 257 when everybody else is calling it a 25 might cause more confusion.

you might be right ? not sure ? but when i posted 257 Creedmoor it appears it has got some attention. i do kinda worry about a mix up in bullet diameter too 6 mm /.244 - 25 /.257 - 6.5 / .264 used in a Creedmoor case could be a problem ? here`s couple more to think about 256 Newton cartridge that bullet diameter is a 6.5 /.264 . or a 22 Creedmoor verses a 22-250 both are close to the same cartridge ?
i don`t know the true answer but i think the name 257 Creedmoor has a little class like 257 Roberts ,257 Weatherby mag. even the old 250 Savage have in the past , some of us are just fan`s of a 25 Caliber or maybe just a little nut`s ?
