I'm working up loads for my model 71 and can't find anything to help me with starting loads using H4350 behind Barnes 220 gn originals. I have two 71s, one I rechambered to .348 AI, if I can get data for the standard. 348 Win I will be able to work with it to develop a load for my AI which is my goal. My ladder testing with 200 gn and H4350 went well.

In my Browning reproduction 71 carbine, 61.0 H4350 got 2371 fps with the 220 Original.

There's a chapter about handloading the .348 in my first BIG BOOK OF GUN GACK, published in 2015, which several people have found pretty useful.

This may not be readable at the size the 'Fire Image Gallery allows. I'll send it to the OP upon request.

63.0 gr IMR-4350 2,284 fps
65.0 gr IMR-4350 2,452 fps

You can see a few "pressure" signs in older factory cartridges for traditional outside-hammer lever-actions with tube magazines, but in general the pressures are so much lower than for bolt-action rounds they don't occur often--and when they do don't mean nearly as much. As an example, some will show flattened primers with relatively low-pressure loads, but that's because the cartridges often don't fit the chamber as tightly. Consequently the primer tends to back out of the case slightly, before the case expands enough to back over the expanded primer. The primer thus appears flattened, but it's not usually a sign of excessive pressure.

Probably the most common "pressure sign" with the .348 is sticky extraction, due to the extremely tapered case. This causes a "wedge effect" after firing. But that's very much reduced in any Ackley Improved round, due to the less-tapered case.
