Doubt it. They can still trounce every team in the Big 12, or old Southwest Conference.

Saw where TX had hired Nick Saban’s offensive coordinator from Bama.
Guess they finally got the balls to fire that idiot black coach they had.

There was an article on this in today’s newspaper sports section. Sounded plenty legit.

They will both have to go. The red river showdown is too big to lose.

wtf? OK, ditch Arkansas, ditch Vandy (goodbye conference GPA), ditch UK. TU no way, unless you bring back Mac Brown. OU...maybe, better start paying your way first. $10M up front. I'd rather have North Carolina or, cough, hack, spit, puke Clemson.

first thing you know Ohio State is gonna want in. Christ on a popsicle.

I haven’t watched college football in years but it would seem to make a lot of sense for both sides. TX and OK would be in a bigger TV market and TX would bring a lot of fans and ratings to the SEC.

seriously? dude do you even know what you're talking about? the SEC doesn't "need" additional fans or watchers. Dear sweet jesus where do you live? and what the F have you been thinking about football? if you "haven't watched football for years" then STFU because you have no idea, your opinion means jack and chit. texas has been a losing program since mack brown left. OU has been on life support with a psychotic QB and zero winning. christ you're an idiot.

Whoa easy there bubba it’s just football.

Who said anything about the SEC needing additional fans? NCAA football is a big money business selling a product and nothing more. Name me a business that doesn’t want to “grow the brand” and make more money. TX and OU have been down awhile but both, TX especially have the resources that they likely won’t be down forever.

Even when bad they have the resources and name recognition to bring ratings/money to the conference. How long has it been since PSU or UM were truly good but they still draw ratings and make money. It’s a business. It isn’t about having the best product or being the best or even good it’s about money and quantity. Put another way is a Honda car better than a Lamborghini? Which company has the larger market share and makes more money? Follow the money.

You need to catch up; They hired Sark in January to replace the VERY overrated Tom Herman who replaced the black coach 3 years ago; who was probably better than Herman

They take their beatings; and collect BIG checks. And; once or twice a decade (Missouri) they have a good season. Being in the SEC will help Texas and Oklahoma; and the SEC will put 3-4 teams in the 12 team playoff every year. More $$$ to spread around to the conference members. More visibility for the NIL deals for the players.

Why would either do it? All they have to do is beat the other and pretty much will be in the Final Four every year.

Take OK. They have beating OSU something like 14 outta 16 years. They beat Texas like a drum. They would keep those two rivalries then ADD SEC West teams, all seven, then two rotating SEC East teams

You gonna tell me OK wants this schedule in the SEC West

SEPTEMBER

LSU
A&M
Alabama
Auburn

OCTOBER

Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss State
UF

NOVEMBER

Homecoming
UGA
Texas
OSU

SEC Championship Game (Yeah, Right!!!)

I just saw that on the local news the other night. I don’t keep up th the TSips. Just TAMU and Bama. 🤠

The TSips “woke” Coach experiment worked as bout as well TAMU doing the same with that idiot Kevin Sumlin. All they did was Fugg up both teams recruiting for several years.

You’re thinking like a fan. It’s all about the money. The SEC provides more exposure and revenue and at the same time TX and OK would bring more ratings to the SEC. It’s mutually beneficial to both sides and neither cares more than lip services whom wins games as long as they all make money.

Unfortunately I think college football is going to implode. It's the only major sport I follow anymore but I'm becoming less and less enamored with it. Coach's salaries were the beginning of the downfall.

Ask Nebraska how it worked out for them leaving the Big 12. They could have stayed in the Big 12 and probably won the North Division every year and then played in the Big 12 Championship, but they saw big $'s by joining the Big 10. Now they're middle of the pack in the Big 10. Better to be a big fish in a little pond than vice versa.

I heard about this earlier today. Not sure what to make of it. A few years ago the Cowboys and sooners were looking hard at the Pac 12. Not sure what unhooked that.
