Low brace proly why you are getting slapped.
Bow shock should be evident as well as noise

However.....it could be your grip.
Either a form issue or actually a screwed up grip.

I got slapped in rebound w a Tradtech Pinnacle 2 and some Dremel work to make it more like a Black Widow standard grip solved it.

Could have been solved w less work but since I saw thw problem area I just went further LOL.

Only bow Ive had where the geometry was in error. Some grips i liked better than others sure, but this one was not right from the factory. Plane where thumbpad went had draft opposite what it should. Slight, but wrong.

Took it other way and no rebound slap.

No initial slap even with funky grip. Just in rebound, was slight but annoying as heck.

Yessir--I think mines a rebound slap...maybe. My grip is always imperfect I know others have watched me shoot. Have to maybe rethink it some. But will try the brace height soln. and see. THANKS MUCH SIR!!

Hand position and stance can lead to arm slap
Im kinda thin and shoot w my body kinda facing the target

Shortens my draw a little but angles my arm. I dont wear an armguard unless its to keep a long sleeve out of the way.

Dont hit my arm either, unless i screw up my grip ( like when very tired ).

Interesting side note here. Always pick up trash at the local range here, and found a 20$ bill today. Yippee
