Evening.. Nice show.. Good afternoon here.. My step daughter drew a cow elk permit.. Earlier this summer we got her an older BDL .270.. I scoped it with a 6x Leupold.. Yesterday I zeroed it at one hundred yards with 130 Sierra flat base.. and shot a couple water bottles at 200 yards.. This afternoon we went out shooting and she hit 3 milk jugs filled with colored water at 200 yards.. Rested over the hood of her pickup.. We finally decided it was shooting slightly right for her .. By then we had used up the few rounds I had loaded for the .270 and the larger water filled bottles.. I had one or two more and some smaller 20 oz bottles.. Got the old .22-250AI out of the truck and she hit all the bottles with one miss.. Finally I had one of those 1 # exploding targets.. I had placed it end for end at 200 yards,, I suppose it was 3 " or a bit more across, first shot at it with the.22-250 and a great explosion!! Her granddaughter and grandson thought it was awesome.. They are at Hunter Safety tonight and I just finished loading 20 more .270's..
