Been drinking Donegal Irish whiskey, and have been told it is no longer available in my location.
What are other inexpensive Irish whiskeys that have similar flavors?
Have tried Two Gingers, not bad, but leaves something to be desired.
Time to start experimenting, and trying new flavors!
I'm thinking I'll try Bushmill's red, next.
Thanks! Virgil B.

Depends on if you are Catholic or Protestant.

I'm Christian; no denomination.
Have tried Jameson, so Bushmills must be next.
Keep the suggestions coming!
Thanks again!

Redbreast when i win the lottery Bushmills and Jameson's are drinkable and readily available. Teeling is great, my favorite at the price. Redbreast is fantastic in both 12 and 15 year versions. Expensive, but worth it.

How does Irish whiskey taste compared to Blackjack? Jack and Crown are about all Iāve ever tried.

About 40+ years ago, I went to the family Christmas get together at my future wife's very Irish clan. Everything went well. The next morning my father asked my how it went. I said I meshed well, and had some good Irish whiskey. He just shook his head, and said "son there is no such thing". I've had a few that were palatable. Jamesons to be one of em.

Based on your Jack and Coke preference I wouldn't recommend you go out of your way to try Irish whiskey. If you're conveniently in a situation to try it then go ahead, but you probably won't find it sweet enough.

Redbreast for the win - but it is expensive. $66.50 + another $4.00 sales tax = $70.50 for a 750 ml bottle here, that relegates it to only a couple of shots on Sunday status at my house.

Anytime I'm asked about good Irish I always mention Redbreast and Green Spot, but it is true that neither falls into the inexpensive category the OP asked about.
