Like a lot of the sites I go to, the fighting and arguing gets just dumb. Then the good guys take off to a better place that doesnt have the issues and things are more peaceful and fun. Actually, this is about the longest lasting one that I go to. I would guess that it will fade and another will take its place.

The Fire's Numbers Currently 571 registered members (1234, 10Glocks, 1100mag, 163bc, 16penny, 1beaver_shooter, 66 invisible), 2,473 guests, and 1,126 spiders. The registered member # changes during the hours and participation. The #s look pretty good . Youre talking fire wood, right....... I'm 67 and got at least 4-5 yrs of (fire) wood piled up in the back. WTF is a "spider" on the forum???

Had no idea that the average age is that high If the olds are hanging that well, maybe you got it all dead wrong. What is your foolproof method for detecting "hurt feelers" - or are you just sayin' ?

Popped onto the Alaska Outdoors Forum the other day, shocked at just how dead that place has become. Other than hunting and guns most of the peripheral forums were dead as disco. My week-old classified was still at the top! I moderated there for a couple of years, the slow death isn't surprising. There were/are some good guys over there but so many classic as*holes too that regarded themselves as all-knowing--guess it's much like this place in that regard.

I hope not. I just got here, and to be honest, I like the place. I've stated this before, and I'll type it again; It's easy to fit in here if you just roll with it. You don't have to worry much about what you say either. I don't think you can put a price on that.
I don't know who Fred is, but he needs to be freed. Just my $.02.
There are a lot of pessimist here. Glass 1/2 Empty. I've been here since 2010. Yes, some guys have quit posting and some have died. I have not seen much evidence of the 'fire' dying. Maybe it's hopeful thinking on the part of some. don't know.
