Some round or flat nose bullets should work.

I didn't think a 336 would handle the standard pressure of that cartridge.
Whatever you said...everyone knows you are a lying jerk. That's a bold assertion. Point out where you think I lied. Well?

I'd think you'd have a hard time getting that case to work in a 336

Browning offers the BLR in 223, I wonder how well they sell?

219 Zipper will duplicate the 223 and then some, designed for the 336 action, data available. The only thing wrong with it nobody wanted a 336 shooting .224 bullets. There are better solutions to shooting .224 bullets in a lever action than the 336. Even the 1894CL in 218 Bee never got anywhere other than to be collectable.
I believe that Phil Gostomski(sp?) a noted Oregon predator hunter used a BLR in 222 Rem when they first came out. A few old time pred. control hunters used the Sav. 99 in 250-3000 but the 99 in 22-250 never went anywhere either.

I owned a Browning BLR in 223 about 20 years ago, it was a shooter usually around an inch with 50 gr bullets. I traded it in on a mini 14, ya stupid, I took a lot of critters with the BLR, and it never jammed even in sub zero weather coyote fox hunting on a snowmobile hanging on my back. I liked it. had a neat little way that the forearm attached that gave it accuracy over a marlin or Winchester.
