Momma had to work last evening, so I took the twins out to grab a bite in Mackinaw City, then for an evening swim at Sturgeon Bay, Lake Michigan. Lots of playing and smiling by all. I love these kids and enjoy the times we have, especially when I get them outside of the house.

Very sad news Rene. I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm sure that Blackjack had the best life any dog could imagine in your care.

Condolences Rene. So fitting for him to pass in your arms. You have teared me up seeing how you honor your friends. BlackJack was a very lucky to have you and you him. That note will get him safe passage thru the gate as he did his part.

We have lost three of our oldest dogs in the last nine months. Last one, Kona, died in my wife's arms just as I pulled into the vet's parking lot just a month ago She had a mass on her leg and was a trooper throughout..

Sorry for your loss, Nick

Got a rain and the browns were gorging on worms washed down the creek. I caught several that were bloated full and had crawlers hanging out of their gullets. [Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

My dog Blackjack died about 30 minutes ago.
He could not get up this morning, his heart was racing.
I picked him up and carried him into the kitchen.
I sat on the floor and just held him in my lap trying to comfort him.
Heart attack or stroke.
And he was perfectly fine up until I woke up and got ready to start mine and his morning routine.
This just came on out of the blue

It aint fair.......
To him or me.....

My dog is gone....
I have a grave to dig and the sun isn't above the horizon yet.

Blackjack was a great dog and I loved him....
Now he is with his son Rico, his older dog brother Cookie, and his mate Sweetheart.

We were moving some furniture around and I ran across a pic of the last dog I buried.
Made me think about this thread, so I thought I'd put up some pics of my gun plumbing.
Hope it gives R50 something to think about besides losing his buddy.

I had this officers model since the late 80's never liked the std grip safety. So after I quit work last year I thought I'd install a beavertail.
