Just returned from Reno after attending and sponsoring a part of the Pope and Young convention. It was a great time with about 800 passionate bowhunters. It was an honor for me to do a seminar in front of a large crowd of bowhunters including some notable bowhunters like Dr. Jack Frost.

For those that dont know, (And I would not expect anybody here to know) Dr. Frost was the first bowhunter to have taken and recorded in the P&Y records at least one of each of the 29 species of game recognized by the Pope and Young record book.

After my talk it was a real treat to have Dr. Frost himself come up and compliment me on the presentation and to ask questions about broadheads and bowhunting. We enjoyed a few conversations over the 4 day event. There were a lot of notable and legendary bowhunters attending this event. It was a real treat for me to partner with this group and to sponsor a portion of this the event. I had one of my bucks (Wisconsin) included in this entry period. I may consider adding at least one of my archery bear at some point.

While enjoying a chat with an African outfitter and Ron Way and his wonderful wife (you will have to google him as you wont know who he is) Another adventure bowhunter stopped by and grabbed a chair to join the conversation. A young kid from Booger bottom was there too.

During one of the live auction events (where hunts from around the world were up for grabs to the highest bidder) I snagged another destination for one more adventure bowhunt. This time I take my bow and a helicopter ride into Greenland.

This year is already booked with many events and an adventure bowhunt in Afria in a few weeks but 2022 is starting to shape up.

Now it's time for a sponsorship of a PBS event then a raised at full draw, youth bowhunting camp before my hunt season kicks in, Then back to WI to sponsor the nation's oldest and largest broadhead shoot, then a couple more trips back to Reno for more bowhunting conventions.

Consider taking up the sport of bowhunting (Rather than just talking about it on a chat room) Trust me. You will thank me. If you have any questions about gear or anything bowhunting related, send me a message (like so many here have been doing already) Together we will get you flinging arrows and then hunting and then taking game with a bow and arrow.

That’s amazing, musk ox is something I’ve always wanted to hunt but I havnt drawn a tag here in AK yet. Bow hunting one in Greenland would be awesome.

That is a reputable outfitter on Greenland and one I have conversed with before, myself. I hope Frank knows what a POS you are. It is not supposed to be a strenuous hunt at all so you're in good shape there. Pun intended.

A 95% success rate for bowhunters on free range critters tells a story. Frank seems to run a good operation so I am not knocking him, but with these unwary critters you may finally get a non-whitetail fair chase trophy! Exciting!

PS, does P&Y know they're advertising a coues deer hunt with a mule deer pic? With you and your "connections", I thought maybe you would know and could correct them.

I was skeptical until he posted a pic of him and the boy from Booger Bottom!

Does he have a good connection for cracked corn?

I get a kick out of these " I think I'm important and want people to know" threads. Drop a couple names and elude to being a big wig and a bit pompous to boot and you nailed it. If you were important, you wouldn't have to tell anyone 😉

“Sponsored” a portion of the convention. That really demands a more definitive explanation. Theoretically, purchasing a ticket to enter could be construed as “sponsoring a portion of the convention”

You "DEMAND". LOL. Look at you tiger, getting all bold and stuff. hahahahah. You go girl. laugh laugh

Since you have "Demanded" a more definitive explanation of my sponsorship, it would be rude of me to leave you hanging sport.

This is a link to the Pope and Young website. at the very bottom you will see corporate partner banner logos scrolling by. My company is a gold level sponsor so, you will see my company logo as part of my funding agreement was one way I sponsored (and continue to sponsor)

https://www.pope-young.org/

But the more direct way I sponsored a portion of convention is that I sponsored the Friday night recognition banquet. Corporate sponsors were asked to sponsor all the functions during the 4 day convention. I signed on fund that recognition banquet.

https://www.pope-young.org/convention/default.asp

[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]

You may wish to contact Pope and Young to verify this. You can reach them at 507-867-4144 or email adminpope-young.org There you can "DEMAND" proof. After all Im assuming you are a member and thus "ENTITLED" to all that you demand. hahahaha (what a tool) laugh

Then I donated my time and provided the convention with a Seminar I put on at no cost.

Im doing the same with the Professional Bowhunters Society this weekend for the odd year gathering.

I sponsored the entire convention for the Wisconsin Bowhunters association in March for a 5 figure sum and also provided them with a seminar.

Im also sponsoring the Wisconsin Bowhunters Association's annual Broadhead shoot In Sept for another hefty sum as well as funding the Scavenger hunt prize list.

and did that for the Wisconsin Traditional archers and the Wisconsin Bowhunting heritage foundation museum.

And I recently became a corporate sponsor for Raised at full draw youth bowhunting camps, adding to the long list of National corporate partners. You will DEMAND proof so here is that link.

https://www.raisedatfulldraw.com/Our-Partners

Then I became one of the Ashby 100 to financially support them .

All of this is just in the last fiscal year. I did the same for a few other bowhunting groups. The sport of Bowhunting has been VERY good to me so Im putting funds right back into the sport that has done so well for me. I think that is the responsibility of a good corporate citizen. Ive found great success because of bowhunting and like to return the favor by partnering with bowhunting orgs. Ive already seen what all of these groups are doing with the money and Im pleased that our partnerships are working and preserving, protecting and promoting the sport of bowhunting.

I will go out on a limb and predict this info will upset you and make the maxi pads bind up on a few of the pugs here (causing you and them to pout once more) but you DEMANDED an explanation, so..... You are welcome. I wouldn't dream of demanding that you tell us how you are giving back to the sport of bowhunting (I doubt that you even bowhunt). Im sure you will just tell us without having to be asked. I look forward to the list of ways you give back. hahahahaha

No, aren't you glad you invited this reply? grin
