Funny, is it not? The Greenies scream to us about carbon dioxide and global warming - all the while completely ignoring how we pop the top on untold billions of gallons of fizzy drinks every year. Every bubble of which is carbon dioxide.

Diet Coke with Splenda tastes like old school Coke.

Diet Coke? Thirty five years back I had a summer job running transects through the East Texas woods looking for signs of endangered woodpeckers. By around five pm we’d be seriously dragging with 3hrs of daylight remaining. One of the crew would always bring along a case of Diet Coke, like liquid meth, a couple of cans of that and I’d be good for another three hours. Been using it as a caffeine fix ever since, cold or ambient temperature both..

During my motorcycle period on long trips I would have a 20oz bottle accessible in a saddle bag. While riding I’d flip up my helmet visor, reach back and grab the Diet Coke, unscrew the top, drink (head sideways so I could see the road), screw the cap back on and put it back. All with my left hand.

I usually have a bottle or two in the vehicle, but if it’s been in the trunk in the heat for too long you can tell some of the sweetener had morphed into formaldehyde.

Switched to Coke Zero ever since it came out, lately Cherry Coke Zero has been da bomb but it ain’t always available.

I’m not an addict I can quit any time 🙂

I don't know if any of them are using it in soft drinks but Xylitol is pretty safe. It's a crystalline alcohol found in most plants. It tastes very much like sugar, more so than most sweeteners. It can cause diarrhea in some people and is very toxic to dogs.
Word of experience - don't use Xylitol to make ice cream. Since it's an alcohol, it's also and antifreeze. Your ice cream will remain a liquid to WAY below freezing.

I too am a Diabetic and drink Pepsi Zero. Used to drink Coke Zero until they backed the attack on the Georgia voter laws. F-Coke products!

Thankfully Ive removed all of them sodie waters from my diet. Don’t enjoy them. Too sweet. Really cut back on beer too.

Don't judge me dude, them crab rangoons and fried shrimps are too good for just two plates. The Diet Dew helps me save room for the ice cream machine and the weird pink and orange cakes.

Some years ago I was in a buffet restaurant. There was a gargantuan woman ahead of me who got her tray but didn't take a plate. She just filled the tray. She had 4x the food that a normal person will eat.

Gag. Them trays probably get wiped with the same filthy towels that they use to wipe down the tables. If they get wiped down at all.

The heifer might as well have ate all that off the floor.

I cannot believe anyone knowingly consumes that garbage. Its liquid poison and never should have been FDA approved.
