I wouldn’t say that an 80 yo woman being assaulted is funny but I will say it is rather ironic given the fact that her policy decisions (to say nothing of her rhetoric in support of them) brought about the sad state in which her home state finds itself.

I’m convinced that one of the biggest challenges we face with Leftists being more and more well off is their ability to avoid the consequences of their own ideas & policies.

How could anyone express any sympathy for someone who is responsible for the level of criminality in that city of Sodom.

No matter. They'd not change their tune regarding how criminals are not at fault for their own actions. They are hard wired with their bleeding heart sentiments. For a classic example, read on.

A number of years ago when I lived in Los Angeles, there was a Calif. Attorney General named March Fong Yu, who was a super left wing liberal. She had a mansion in Hancock Park, a very uppity community in "old" L.A. It was a gated, walled "compound" where the swells lived in protected bliss.

One night, she was alone at home when a dude climbed over the wall, carrying a hatchet and broke into her mansion,. He confronted Ms. Yu, grabbed her by the hair, beat her severely about the head with the hatchet, and drug her around her house demanding money. She gave him what she had and he left without killing her. She sustained very serious injuries and was lucky to have survived.

Ms. Yu spent a number of days in the hospital recovering from the brutal attack. When she was later interviewed, she had only very mild blame for the criminal, and then, per usual for left wing bleeding heart liberals, began a rant about why we needed more "gun control." Didn't mention any need for "hatchet control."

Liberal bliss ninnies never change.
