I know he wasn’t related to Hamburger, but I loved to hear him pluck.

Just heard about it last night.. Damn... ZZ Top is my favorite band of all time.. I've been to probably eight of their concerts and they never fail to deliver.. Unreal how much music can come out of just three players..

RIP Dusty..

One of the best episodes of King of the Hill featured Dusty as Hanks cousin. As for the music, I pretty much like it, though for three piece groups, I'd rather listen to Primus.

Saw them live in 1984. The Eliminator tour with Quiet Riot. Didn't really care about the opening act. ZZ Top put on a great show! RIP Dusty!

The Eliminator tour was also the first one I attended, but I honestly cannot recall who the opening act was.. It might have been Lynyrd Skynyrd...

I was really hooked after that one.. smile

Live yes, but they turned into a 4-piece studio band: bass, guitar, drums AND SYNTHESIZER.

I liked their older stuff like “Brown Sugar”…. The newer stuff was cool but they lost the bluesy sound that they started with.
