Hyperbole has always been a problem because so many take it so seriously. Unfortunately, with the ongoing dumbing down of the American populace, hyperbole like this is becoming more and more dangerous. I think we need to have a concerted effort to remove the protections afforded certain individuals with respect to our libel/slander/defamation laws. You see it’s hyperbole when a liberal says it, it’s a threat if a conservative says it. No you are absolutely 100 % incorrect about how "I see it". The liberals see it as "only hyperbole" when a liberal says it and as "a threat" when WE conservatives say it. That statement is absolutely correct. It is because of that I made my statement about hyperbole in general, period. The fact is, when someone on the left says something or does something, they get away with it with complete impunity. Whereas the same statement or act by a conservative would result in a figurative crucifying of the conservative.
