I just got back from shopping around. My local Academey had boat loads of .223, 5.56 and 7.62. Mostly Winchester bulk packs and 20 packs of Green Tip. I bought a 500 round box of Win 5.56 and a box of Federal .22 AutoMatch 325 box. No one I spoke with had a clue at any of the stores I went to. PSA had pallets of Tulamo in 223 and 7.62. No Wolf.

I didn't see this coming, but I can't say I'm surprised.

I did however, make a similar prediction right after the election results were in. I posted over on the CAS City forum that I was concerned that Biden would blanket ban all importation of firearms, which would of course effect all of the cool Italian Winchester/Browning repros (as well as all the fancy Italian-made shotguns, among so many others...)

Several members chastised me, and I damn near got banned for even mentioning anything political. It seems that most folks, even firearms enthusiasts, would rather poke their head in the sand on Apathy Beach.

That apathy is precisely why we are where we are as a country.

That blanket ban will happen btw, before Biden's first term is up. Bet on it.

In the next 6 months? He better hurry because at the rate he's going that's about all he has left. It will be up to Kaflunka to pass it then. Iv's said since he got the Dem nomination that he wouldn't last much more than a year, if that. Remember the changes to the 25th Amendment the Dems pushed?

Yep, thatโ€™s what Iโ€™ve noticed too. Very few are aware but enough knew to wipeout everything that was available online in a matter of hours.

Cant blame em for being informed and aware.

Let the aloof fuggs deal with prices and availability issues in the near future.

Iโ€™ll give ya $250 for the AK

That is a great offer, but the Red Level, Alabama Taliban just picked it up. Here's the last picture of it before it went to do jihad.

Yep, all of the above. Funny thing is I hated AKs at the time I bought this one...I had just returned to the US after being in the military for three years overseas and everyone that had been shooting at me was using AKs. I just wanted to get familiar with the AK platform so I could use one if the situation arose, and I thought they were all cheap garbage. They may have been cheap, but I was pretty shocked at how effective they were at hitting minute of chest under tough circumstances. I still prefer the AK to the AR if people are the target.

That wpn to the right person is worth 1500 to 2000 bucks.

1st center fire rifle I ever shot was a type 56
Age 9 early 1973.
1st beer I ever drank that day.
Both of my grandfathers 56,s were demilled and are in a VFW in either Titusville or Coco Beach Fla.
Per ph call to my grandmother in August 97 when gramps died.
Early 90,s he donated them what she said.
He was a loadmaster in the AF retired in 73.
Artillery in europe in WW2.

Both wpns totally under the Alpha Tango Foxtrot radar......

Only thing I inquired about with her material inheritance wise when I called from JRTC at Polk when I got a red cross msg.
My 3 uncles ( 2 were vietnam vets) didnt want them when he donated them.

Broke down, went thru and cleaned them summer 86 when I went down their for a visit before going to Germany.
He said they hadnt been fired since that day up in Maine.

Kept my piehole shut about them for decades per his guidance that day in 73.

Probably good he had em demilled and I didnt get possession of one in the long run.

Yes, I did Alpha uniform tango oscar fire a type 56 at age 9....

Have trained with and used Sov bloc and Chi com wpns numerous times.
Been shot at by them plenty of times.

Haji,s are azzholes and need to be exterminated AFAIC....

You gotta think nation wide how many people surfed the web after this weasel informal gun control move came out.

Havent heard a fughing thing about it on Tv news.

Anyone here mention of it in the media at all.

Like Montana Marine said in his post.
Total Bytch move how this all of a sudden happened.

And how they tie it to that " poor" russian dissident being poisoned as a reason.

I wanting see Blackburns and Greenes response to my emails this morning.

This back door low profile gun control thru ammo ban is total bullschitt.

Stopped to look for a scope mount and they had ammo.

One guy got 10 boxes of 7.62x39 and others showed up looking.

I left.

My first milsurp rifle was a MAK 90 bought at Dunhamโ€™s Sporting Goods for just under $300 when I was 18. Unfortunately I lost the box and goodies that came with it other than the sling. About 10 years ago I threaded the barrel and replaced the thumb hole stock with a proper Chinese Chu wood stock and pistol grip. I never put the money in to pressing out the FSB and replacing it with one that had a bayonet lug. At the end of the day it still wouldnโ€™t have been a true type 56. Nice rifle though and looks mostly correct.

Iโ€™m glad I bought a case of Golden Tiger from SGAmmo two days after the Covid craze hit that Iโ€™ve sat on.

I found out about this Biden abortion yesterday morning and had my SIL coming over, he was gonna look for me. Anyway I e-mailed my senators and bitched.
He found me 3 boxes @ $11 a box, limit was 3. They had a wood crate full it was corrosive for 400.00. Glad I have a bunch.
Still haven't heard back from my stinkin senators yet, I wrote that how come-
Biden has all this going on in Afghanistan and the SOB finds time to ban Russian ammo ??? . F uCk him & anybody that supports him.

The shortage and price increase on ammo is now instant. Not gradual.

Got this as part of an e-mail from SG the day before the Biden Ban.

Probably should have bought some, even though I abhor FMJ, because this was the first .308 I'd seen like it in awhile.

My Russian SKS is my FAVORITE....I have, in addition, M1 Garands and an HK91 clone...BUT, the SKS was the very cheapest to shoot ...even making reloading for the other two not worth it, IMO.... well, I got some ammo squirreled away, but not enough.

I also have five 9X18 pistols (4 Makarovs and a CZ82.....that rat bastid is a sneaky SOB and needs the impeachment process, takes the fun out of everything

Odd, I did a quick web search to see what all is swept up in it and found this. I donโ€™t own any guns that eat Russian so I wouldnโ€™t have noticed but did you face similar in 2019 sanctions?
