I have a big box of antlers that I need to get rid of... nothing special, just sheds and small bucks that came off the farm years ago that have been sitting in a box in the office. I have no idea where to advertise them... I would imagine there is 75 pounds of antler in there... Arts/crafts people or knife makers or for dog chews??????? Where do you go to sell this stuff???? And what's it worth???? Thanks for any advice.

Not sure where to sell in your area, but last year I sold 10 raghorn elk antlers to a antler buyer near here for $13.50 a pound.

Don't really know. Knife makers and Flintknappers are probably your best bet. Professional people will buy trophy mounts sometimes for their hunting lodges.

The people that get top dollar hunt during post-rut when they drop. They’re generally in excellent shape.
You might also check with fur buyers.

Make sure it is legal before you advertise lest you be paid an unwanted visit from a possum constable. States can be funny about "deer parts" and I think SC may be one of them. I am not sure.......just offering a potential heads-up.

They advertise in the paper here in WY. I sell mine for $12-$15 per pound. If I remember to, the next weekly paper we get I will get you some numbers if interested. They want them cut off the skull cap, or they doc you a preset # of ounces per skull cap.

I don't buy them for my dogs but I got a couple from someone I herd with in a Christmas exchange. The dogs loved them but cattle dogs love that kind of stuff. I checked the price at Petsfart and OMG. the price is unbelievable! My antlers are on the wall or in the crawl space, not for the dogs. You might want to find out how you can get them to the pet stores, price is crazy.
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

I used to sell tons of moose antlers on, E-bay.—literally tons as I owned a moose processing shop. Had a good deal going for several years and then got shut-down by US Fish and Wildlife. Not that I had done anything wrong just that it’s almost impossible to keep the paperwork up to the constantly changing regulations.

Just info only. A traveling buyer set up in the parking lot of The Sportsman’s Warehouse in Sheridan, Wyoming was paying 15$/lb.

I am not sure.......just offering a potential heads-up. Spot on. The bastards here OWN the deer. In every aspect except liability for damage. Even the one your dad shot legally 50 years ago. Was at an auction that was moving a pile of mounts. Mostly from an estate, someone had a lot of African and Asian mounts. The auction had been held up for a long time, waiting on PGC to give them permission to sell a couple srubby bucks!

Deer, elk and moose antlers are legal to sell... at least in the states I have lived.
