Anyone know if Dakota Arms is still operational? They're not answering their phone. TIA

You may be right. I did a little sleuthing on the web. Apparently the Dakota assets were purchased by the same Real Estate group that purchased Remington Arms in bankruptcy. Wonder if there is any plan to resurrect Dakota? Hope so.

They are working under a different name trying to finish in process rifles. Someone bought just the Dakota Arms name and they put a hefty price tag on it.

There was a report that said they sold off all inventory and all parts- barrels, actions, blanks, machinery, etc.

If you can’t legislate gun control, simply buy it.

The name "Dakota Arms" was purchased by a large corporation. Everything else was purchased by a small investor group. These investors have named their new company "ParkWest Arms". They are building the same rifles on the same equipment in the same facilities with the same people as Dakota was building before the Remington bankruptcy.

Currently all of the rifles in production were ordered before Dakota closed the doors. ParkWest gave those customers the choice of getting their deposits back or having the new company complete their rifles. Almost all customers chose to have their ordered rifles completed and delivered. Several rifles have been completed already.

ParkWest will be accepting new orders this fall.

Early Dakota rifles had beautiful wood, later ones seemed more plain. I'm interested in seeing the quality of wood Park West will be using.

Interesting, I was never contacted by ParkWest Arms on the Dakota Varmint .22 PPC I ordered in April 2020. All I know is I am waiting on getting my money back.
