I'd like the 90 grain TGK to work in my rifle, but the long throat means that there's hardly any grip on the bullet because of the long boat-tail if I seat close to the lands. I've been using the 90 TGK in another rifle at 3120 fps and like them a lot. What speed are you starting those 90 TGK in the .243 AI?

I'm shooting them at 3250.

I'd try them seated deeper, I load mine to fit and feed well from the magazine at 2.80 and they are not near the lands and shoot very well for me

Might try that. In my other rifle they shoot best virtually touching the lands at .001". It would be good if they work i.e accurate with a large jump and able to shoot through the shoulders of deer with the high muzzle velocity.

I tried them seated deep just because of fitting in the magazine, it was the only way I could use them in my rifle unless I treated it like a single shot. Glad I tried it, they shoot great for me with a considerable jump.

I can't promise an exit on double shoulder shots every time but from what I saw I see no need to shy away from bone with them. The scapula of a deer's shoulder isn't that tough anyway
