If that's not the case, then I stand to be corrected for sure and of course in true north of the medicine line, official Canadian fashion apologize in advance, just in case, in order to maintain the status quo, etc.

I really don't like Pop-Tarts or better said didn't the one time I tried them years back.

They're not really made from food are they?

Buddy was hunting doves last night with a 28 gauge OU and it looks "about right" for that or quail.

I need to find a 20 gauge sometime if I keep on dove hunting..

All the best to you all and good luck on your hunts.

Dwayne

Brother Dwayne,

You are correct ! The venerable 410 🙄 was a collaboration, albeit, separate endeavor between the US and GB. The Scott’s wanting to reduce the damage done to the small game for the Lords, used the 410 in an effort to provide more presentable table fare.

The 28 gauge, to me, is a proper gauge for gunning small and medium game, due to it hitting like a 12g with less bite.

PS

You obviously knew my Scottish part was all BS...Laffin

Big Jim,

Here’s a song for you to sing while slapping that 410 around the Hi-Line

You have to brush em with clarified butter and dredge them in cinnamon/sugar.

Unless youre in a tree stand, then you just raw dog em, cold and dry.

Wheat and sugar is definitely food.

Jim;
Good evening again sir and for the final time as I'm close to needing my old guy rest.

I'll agree with the thought that wheat and sugar beets begin their life cycle as food products.

When we refine the ever loving dog snot out of it however, at some point it might be argued that it ceases to be food.

Therein lies my contention on this particular point sir. wink

That and since I don't like them, I can take the contrarian stance in the discussion with a clear conscience. laugh

Have a good evening and again all the best to you all Jim.

Dwayne

I think we all eventually get the beetus...Late onset and all that other fun stuff the doc tells you they discovered while scoping your ass for pullups.

Good luck is about all I can wish you and Daniel.

I was lucky enough to find some "Rio" for my Mossberg, a few years back (Sportsman's whorehouse??? ) but haven't tried it on game yet. At the time it was the most reasonably priced of the outrageously priced ammo available.

First general sessions judge I ever stood before, she dove hunted with a .410 in a Rem 1100

I got to keep my license that day, no one else before me did on the morning docket

Might have been my ocean blue eyes she remembered

I know the feeling!

Got some Rio 12 gauge #4 buckshot. Sschiit won't even pop through on a 30 year old burn barrel. I still hope to knot up some kind of furry or feathered critter with it tho.

Well that kinda sucks.

Them burn barrels is tough I heard.

Heat treating every burn I bet!

OH, have you tried the Hornady Critical Defense .410 on those burn barrels? A .41 cal FTX slug and two .35 cal round balls? I shot that at paper at 25yds and I figured I'd rather be on the end carrying the .410 than on the other. Whether it penetrated a burn barrel or not, it would likely hurt a mite.

I be wearing my Corona disguise, no one can tell:

Felony glasses, hat (no hoodie unless it's well below freezin'), and my bandana to keep the cooties off'n me and others.
