I suppose this topic has been covered many MANY times in the past, but I haven’t been on here for several years, so I am glad to see it still going strong. I have a 410 bolt action shotgun that patterns very well. I’m wanting to mount a reflex sight on it, but I just don’t see how. Not very much room, except at the back and at the front of the receiver. Cantilever mount? I’m not in a hurry and I’m open to suggestions. Thank y’all!

The receiver will probably have to be drilled and tapped for an appropriate mount but it should be doable. Take it too a reputable gunsmith for an opinion.

You’re not a huge proponent of the 410 for turkey hunting it appears. I have killed them with each of my 10’s, my 12, and a 20. I’ve never used the TSS shot yet, but I always like to have options. I don’t intend to “buy” another 410 just to set it up as a “new rage” turkey getter, but I don’t mind utilizing one I already have to keep it from being the safe queen its turned into.

You can buy a picatinny rail which clamps on the barrel.

It looks thick enough. I probably will. I was just thinking that someone in this group might have knowledge of it already being done, having one and sharing a picture. I’m still not totally sold on doing it, just something I’m considering, maybe for 11 year old. Thanks for the “civility” in your response. 😉
