My cousin bought one of the limited run stainless/walnut 1A rifles in .35 Whelan. It's a really nice rifle and is a good shooter. I bought one also and LOVE my .35W #1..

I have the stainless/walnut No.1 in 30/30 also and it’s a favorite. Also have a stainless/laminate in 405 Win. If there was a chance of rain during a deer hunt the laminate would get taken. Stainless/Walnut is my favorite! Love it.

Is Ruger introducing new No. 1's at all anymore? I know things haven't been normal for a while, but it seems like it's been many years now since a new No. 1 came out, I mean a new chambering. It used to be every year or every other year Ruger or Lipseys would do something new.

i have over the years enjoyed all my Ruger # 1`s all are super neat, some are very accurate too,but when opening weekend for deer in Minnesota starts for the last 15 years or longer i use only one rifle my Ruger # 1 laminated S.S. with a custom Brux barrel chambered in a 257 Weatherby mag. ,i had 2 made my son Cory has the other #1. we have killed some very nice whitetail bucks and mule deer bucks also with these fine all weather Ruger #1`s that`s why i like the S.S. barrel ,laminated stock and the 257 Weatherby mag cartridge ,somedays out west the weather is nasty windy, wet or snow and cold too. the Ruger # 1 S.S. laminated stock might not be as pretty as a blued wood stock safe queen #1 but for hunting it is by far better hunting rifle that can handle some abuse and still get the job done in one shot.

Good enough I guess 🙄😁 Probably the best ‘handling’ No.1 I have!

I have a laminated stainless #1 in 7STW. It is a 2002 Buckmaster’s Conservation rifle. I wish it didn’t have all that engraved stuff on it but I won it in a drawing and have $40.00 in it…

Could just try a .450.BM stainless and have rebarreled, run the grey lam. Still end up around 3k.

I have a stainless 25-06 in laminated stocks that I wouldn’t trade away. It handles well and is very accurate. I like it a lot.
