For Sale: Excellent condition Marlin 1895, .45-70, pre-safety with 22 inch barrel. Bluing is excellent with one small scratch near front sight and wood has a couple of minor dings. This rifle has a crescent plastic butt plate and Williams "Foolproof" receiver sight. Barrel has regular lands and grooves, and rifling is sharp and clean. Very limited round count, and serial number is 6 numerical digits B000xxx. Campfire sources say this designates a 1972 or 1973 rifle. FFL required and $1050 shipped. Money order or bank draft please. One of the first rifles the new model 1895. Your price is a gift to someone who recognizes what this is. Ballard rifling for starters. I have one in the same range, they are beautiful!

I found the original buckhorn rear sight plus the small filler screws for the side of the receiver, so these items would be included with the rifle....in case someone would want to remove the receiver sight. Thanks.
